Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jay Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes into the arena with Dmx The Rain blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luis Gonzales!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales scores with a nice strike.
The fighters circling - Gonzales throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gonzales throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Brown uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gonzales.
Gonzales defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brown.
Brown lands with an uppercut that bounces Gonzales off the cage and back into range.
Brown shoots in but no luck this time.
Brown has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Brown there as he acknowledges the shot.

Gonzales forces Brown back against the cage and clinches.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gonzales creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Brown is rocked!

It looks like Jay Brown has been cut.
Gonzales lands a big knee! That's hurt Brown! Oh, he's all over the place! Gonzales lands another knee that sends Brown to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luis Gonzales!
After the fight, Luis Gonzales was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
