The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Manjuelez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Edkins connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Manjuelez scrambles back to his feet.

Manjuelez drops Edkins with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Edkins looks back up at him and smiles so Manjuelez waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Manjuelez counters by gaining double undehooks. He picks up Edkins and carries him across to his own corner. OH, that's a monster slam and Edkins is out cold! A brutal end to the fight and credit to Manjuelez for not following up with any more shots. He recognised that Edkins was out. Good sportsmanship.
