Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomas Campion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shogan Aye!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Campion shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Aye napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Campion looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Campion tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Campion postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
We've been hearing good reports from Campion's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Campion is looking to take a break and control but Aye is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Aye can't do much from the bottom here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Campion is working for a submission of some sort.
Campion lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Aye is trying to control but can't.
Campion wants to take a breather but Aye is having none of it.
Campion working over Aye with some ground and pound. Aye looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Campion misses with a head shot. Aye uses the momentum to regain guard.
Campion looking to pass the guard.

Aye has his foot on Campion's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Campion works his way back into a safe position though.

Campion avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Aye managing to control the position.
Campion working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Aye's head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Aye is trying to control the position but Campion postures up.
Aye has his hands on Campion's head, controlling the position.

Campion drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Aye dives on top into guard.

Campion closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Aye's guard.

Campion got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aye has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Campion has managed to get both his arms back between Aye's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Campion wants to control from the top but Aye keeps moving.
Aye can't keep his opponent in guard - Campion advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Campion is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aye is just riding it out for now. Campion eventually gives up the hold.

Aye bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Campion's guard.

Campion wants to sweep but no luck.
Campion trying to keep a closed guard but Aye is proving a slippery customer.
Aye looking to sit in guard and control but Campion gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Aye can't keep his opponent in guard - Campion advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Campion wants to work for an arm triangle but Aye is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Campion throws a strike but Aye avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Campion is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Aye can do to turn this around?

Aye has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Campion doesn't defend quickly enough and Aye has managed to lock this one up! Can Campion escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Aye on a fantastic submission victory.

Our winner, Shogan Aye, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
