The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dunlap closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Dunlap has his foot on Zakherenkoff's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Zakherenkoff works his way back into a safe position though.
Zakherenkoff wants to control from the top but Dunlap keeps moving.

Zakherenkoff must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dunlap manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Zakherenkoff manages to get himself to full guard.

Zakherenkoff really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dunlap. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Zakherenkoff can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Dunlap stands up over Zakherenkoff, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Dunlap drives through and clinches with Zakherenkoff against the cage.

Zakherenkoff has clasped his hands together around Dunlap's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Dunlap tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Dunlap wants to hold on but Zakherenkoff pushes him away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Zakherenkoff cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Dunlap keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Dunlap is breathing heavily.
Dunlap is in a horrible position here. Zakherenkoff smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lesley Dunlap will probably get the nod.

Zakherenkoff rushes Dunlap and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Zakherenkoff stands and throws Dunlap's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Dunlap takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Dunlap takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zakherenkoff lands some shots froms side control.


Dunlap is rocked!

Zakherenkoff scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Dunlap is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Zakherenkoff can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vladimir Zakherenkoff!
