Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Guillermo Ashley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hank Hill!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hill has Ashley up against the cage in a clinch.

Hill manages to pull guard.
Ashley in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hill looking to control.
Ashley trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Ashley postures up in Hill's guard and throws a big left but Hill blocks it.

Hill is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hill wants to stand and escape but Ashley is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ashley landing with the ground and pound.
Ashley throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Hill is pulling down on Ashley's head to control his posture.
Hill wants to sweep here but Ashley controlling him for the moment.
Hill is controlling Ashley's posture.
Ashley won't allow Hill to sweep him here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hill is still trying to improve position.
Ashley is looking to work some ground and pound but Hill has wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hank Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hill closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ashley's guard.
Ashley looking for a sweep. Not yet Ashley, not yet.

Ashley wants to stand and escape but Hill is having none of it.
Hill stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ashley swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hill keeps trying to improve his position.
Ashley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ashley is proving hard to escape from.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Hill loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Hill shoots in and gets a takedown into Ashley's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hill fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ashley sprawls well initially but Hill persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ashley is looking to get back to is feet but Hill passes into side control.
Hill in side control, throwing shots but Ashley defends.
Hill advances nicely into full mount.
Hill controlling the position easily from mount.
Hill trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hill punching from mount but Ashley doing a good job of avoiding damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hank Hill dominated that round.

Hill shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hill showed some decent athleticism there.
Ashley wants to control the action here but instead Hill manages to pass to full mount!

Hill jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ashley manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Ashley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ashley bucks up and tries to throw Hill off but instead Hill has got his back!
Hill has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Ashley can't escape the position.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Hill's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Hill throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
Ashley manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hill's guard. Nice work there by Ashley.
Ashley lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Ashley makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Hill pushes Ashley off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Ashley could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hill clinches.

Ashley is trying to maintain a safe position but Hill gets an underhook and turns Ashley into the cage.

Hill has Ashley pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hill pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ashley tumbling to the mat - Hill dives into Ashley's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ashley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hill is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Hill postures up.
Hill trying to control but Ashley is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hill won't allow Ashley to get back to his feet.
Ashley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ashley keeping moving, preventing Hill from controlling successfully.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Hill gets a takedown into half guard.
Hank Hill has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hill is taking a breather. Ashley says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Let's hope that Hill has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ashley has his hands clasped together around Hill's back. He's all about the action.

Hill stands up from half guard.
Ashley closes the distance looking to clinch
and Hill counters with a series of strikes. Ashley will be more careful next time no doubt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hill drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hank Hill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hill pulls Ashley into guard.
Ashley with a flurry of punches that miss.

Ashley lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Hill trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Hill is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Ashley throws a big elbow that misses.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Ashley postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Hill is looking for a triangle here but Ashley uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Hill tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Ashley presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Ashley unloads with some shots from mount but Hill bucks and avoids them well.
Hill is in all sorts of trouble here.

Hill is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Hill sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Ashley lands strikes from half guard.
Hill trying to get back to full guard but Ashley takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Ashley fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Hill taking shots to the head.

Ashley is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hill to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hill shrugs it off.
Hill can't escape the position.
Hill takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Ashley throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Hill is looking to get to half guard.
Hill tries to hold on but Ashley pushes him away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Guillermo Ashley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hank Hill is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Hill gets back to half guard.

Well Hill has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
