PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pyryx Dall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dall comes into the arena with Fuel and Fire blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dall blocks a leg kick.

Dall is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Smith sees it coming and defends easily.

Dall is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Smith is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Dall is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Smith has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Smith!
Smith has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dall is proving hard to escape from.

Smith gets to his feet - Dall follows without any prompting.

Dall jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Smith is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Smith and Dall has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Dall thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Dall has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Smith!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dall swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Smith is now in Dall's guard. A big mistake from Dall there, giving up the dominant position!

That kick from Smith tenderised Dall's leg. Dall is trying to keep his angry face on.
Dall's jab looks to have found its range, popping Smith under the eye.
Smith's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dall connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Smith scrambles back to his feet.
