Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ezekiel Kingston and James Steel. On his way into the cage it seems that Ezekiel Kingston has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ezekiel Kingston seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Ezekiel Kingston! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; James Steel!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Russell Pearce.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Kingston manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Steel trying to control the position from guard on top but Kingston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kingston looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Steel has picked Kingston up and slammed him! Kingston can't keep hold of the triangle and Steel manages to pass to side control!

Kingston is trying to improve his position.
Steel advances to full mount.

Kingston sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Steel is looking to take a break and control but Kingston is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steel seems to be working for a kimura but Kingston defends the submission attempt.

Kingston makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kingston.

Kingston has his foot on Steel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Steel works his way back into a safe position though.

Kingston working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Steel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Kingston is tightening it up a little... Steel has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Steel reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Steel taps out! Nice BJJ there by Kingston!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Ezekiel Kingston!
In his post fight interview, Ezekiel Kingston started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
