The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ware fails with a takedown attempt.
Ware shoots in but Knowles avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Knowles changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ware looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ware tries to improve position but can't.

I really don't envy Ware right now.

Ware drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Knowles manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ware has Knowles in his guard.

Good leg kick by Ware there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Knowles shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ware as he jumps to the side.
Ware is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Ware will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Koko Ware seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

I would just about give that final round to Koko Ware.
