Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin throws a right and a left that both miss.
A little jabbing left from Paniccia on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Paniccia slips a jab and a cross from Griffin.
Griffin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Paniccia to counter with a crisp jab.
Sloppy strikes from Griffin. Those never looked like landing.
Paniccia avoids a punch combination nicely.
Griffin gets tackled into the cage by Paniccia. Paniccia maintains the clinch.

Paniccia wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Paniccia escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Griffin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Griffin chips away with some ground and pound.
Paniccia has momentary wrist control but Griffin slips an elbow through the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Griffin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Paniccia's head.
Griffin stands and throws Paniccia's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Paniccia is looking to regain half guard here but Griffin keeps moving and retains side control.
Check out the look on Griffin's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Paniccia sneaks back into half guard.
Griffin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Paniccia wants to control but Griffin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Griffin wants to take a breather but Paniccia is having none of it.
Paniccia gets back to full guard.

Griffin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Paniccia has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Griffin has managed to get both his arms back between Paniccia's legs - danger averted.
Griffin is pushing down on Paniccia's leg trying to pass to half guard. Paniccia is fighting to maintain full guard but Griffin has managed to sneak the leg through.

Griffin has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Paniccia defend it? Griffin steps over the head and cranks it - Paniccia is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Griffin!
