Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heather tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Saunders defends well and Heather ends up having to push Saunders into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Saunders throws a lazy head kick

and Heather decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Saunders's guard.
Saunders has Heather pulled in close to control his posture.
Saunders knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Heather on the ground.
Heather passes Saunders's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Heather is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Saunders sees it coming and defends easily.
Heather passes the guard and advances to mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heather wants to stand but Saunders is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

Heather looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Saunders working to try and regain half guard.
Saunders wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Heather controlling the position well here. Saunders rolled but Heather kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Saunders defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Heather 's arms.

Heather is cranking Saunders's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Saunders! He's tightened the choke and Saunders is tapping out!
