The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trudeau is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Grimes.

Trudeau shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Grimes manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trudeau is stalling here. Grimes is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Trudeau seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Grimes has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Grimes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Grimes looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Trudeau is avoiding damage well.

Trudeau sneaks out the side door and pushes Grimes away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Trudeau drives through and clinches with Grimes against the cage.

Grimes stands and steps away. Trudeau gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Trudeau lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Trudeau lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Grimes circles away quickly and effectively.

Trudeau gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Grimes to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Trudeau has his feet on Grimes's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Trudeau's corner calls for a 1-2. Trudeau obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Grimes is rocked!
Trudeau tries to bum rush Grimes with a series of wild strikes but Grimes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Oh Grimes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Trudeau throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Grimes is breathing heavily.

Trudeau lands a huge takedown. Grimes is out but the ref is slow to react and Trudeau lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Grimes lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
