Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Rockatansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phuc Bich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Rockatansky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phuc Bich!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockatansky lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rockatansky lands a slapping body shot.

Bich instigates a clinch.
Rockatansky tries to pull guard but Bich holds him up against the cage and eventually Rockatansky drops back down to his feet.
Bich is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Rockatansky is keeping busy.

Rockatansky pulls guard.
Bich trying to control the position from guard on top but Rockatansky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rockatansky looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bich is one step ahead there.
Rockatansky controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rockatansky looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rockatansky is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rockatansky is pulling down on Bich's head. It's preventing any offense from Bich, at least for the moment.
Rockatansky has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Bich wants to counter the offense by Rockatansky and move into the clinch position.
Max Rockatansky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rockatansky swats away the attempt to clinch by Bich.
It looked like Rockatansky was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Phuc Bich is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bich gets a clinch.
Bich lands a left hand.
Bich lands an uppercut.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Bich.
Bich goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Rockatansky is trying to pull guard but Bich turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Bich misses with the head strike.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rockatansky is rocked!
A head punch on the inside from Bich fails to land.
Oh Rockatansky is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rockatansky jumps guard but Bich stands there with Rockatansky around his waist. Rockatansky gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Rockatansky. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rockatansky seems to have got his legs back now.

Rockatansky tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bich lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Rockatansky to his knees! Bich keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phuc Bich!
Phuc Bich decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
