Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Welch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Welch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Jensen!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Welch drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Welch is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jensen has escaped the position, nice work there.
Welch works to advance to full mount. Jensen defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
You get the feeling that Jensen really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Jensen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Welch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Welch lands with some strikes.
Jensen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Welch jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jensen manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Jensen managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Welch.

Welch working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Welch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Welch thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Welch is breathing heavily.

Welch is trying to get an arm triangle but Jensen is defending well.
Jensen tries to escape but Welch is in control.
Jensen parries the strikes from Welch easily there. Welch is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jensen to escape.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Welch creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jensen sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Welch is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jensen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

A head kick from Jensen lands but Welch takes it in his stride.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Welch shoots for a takedown but Jensen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Welch shoots in and drives through. Jensen sprawls well.

Welch closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The ground and pound from Welch seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Welch is working to tighten is grip on Jensen's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jensen has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Welch is really squeezing tight and eventually Jensen passes out! Welch breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
