The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - T Dogg looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

T Dogg closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - T Dogg lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Criato can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as T Dogg controls the pace.
Criato tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
T Dogg is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Criato is trying to control but can't.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. T Dogg connects with a nice short shot to Criato's temple.
Criato wants to control but T Dogg is keeping busy and won't allow it.

T Dogg seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

T Dogg shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Criato as he jumps to the side.
T Dogg tries to close the distance and clinch but Criato swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Criato let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

T Dogg clinches.
T Dogg wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Criato escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyrone T Dogg dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

T Dogg lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by T Dogg.
T Dogg tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Criato paws at him with a jab and circles away.

T Dogg will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Criato looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
T Dogg is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Criato wants to take a breather but T Dogg is having none of it.
T Dogg moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Criato wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of T Dogg's closed guard. He's half up but T Dogg has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! T Dogg pivots and extends the arm, Criato falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by T Dogg! Well done that man!
