Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alton Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ante Perkovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ante Perkovic will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perkovic manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Harris on his heels. He'll look to pass Harris's guard now, I'm sure.

Harris kicks Perkovic off and gets to his feet.

Perkovic closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Harris to the mat! Harris manages to get full guard.

Harris is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Perkovic is aware though and is defending well.

Perkovic is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Harris sees it coming and defends easily.

Perkovic is taking a breather. Harris says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Perkovic connects with a nice short shot to Harris's temple.

Harris tries to kick Perkovic off in order to stand up. Perkovic Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Harris is breathing heavily.

Alton Harris's cut is getting worse.
Harris might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Perkovic thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Perkovic decides to stand back up. Perkovic steps back and let's Harris get back to his feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Harris enables Perkovic to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Harris manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Harris on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Perkovic lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harris looks like he's trying to stand up.
Perkovic seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Perkovic wants to pass to mount but Harris is defending the position.

Alton Harris's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Perkovic in particular looking to stall.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Perkovic is trying hard to land a takedown here. Harris sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Perkovic closes the distance and clinches up with Harris, looking for a takedown. Perkovic pushes Harris against the cage but Harris circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Perkovic shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Harris is trying to defend but Perkovic finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Perkovic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Harris does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Perkovic feints and as Harris raises his hands in defense, Perkovic changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Perkovic stands up and waves to Harris to follow him.

Perkovic tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Harris avoids it.

Harris is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Perkovic is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Perkovic is on top in guard.

Harris throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
