The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hartt moves into the clinch.
Bates is pressed up against the cage. Hartt has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bates down to the mat. Bates avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hartt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Despite the aggression on Hartt's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Bates has closed the distance and engaged Hartt in a clinch.
Hartt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hartt looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hartt misses with the combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bates.
Bates tries to clinch up.
Hartt moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Billie Bates has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hartt drops Bates with a beautiful combination! Bates stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hartt is looking for the KO!
Bates is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hartt fakes the body blow, causing Bates to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Bates goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
