Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brandon Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devron throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Cruz throws a head kick but Devron moves out of range.
It looked like Devron was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Cruz.
Cruz's coach down at CT + BJJ & Wrestling & Boxing & MT SPARRING GYM was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Cruz's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Cruz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Devron circles away quickly and effectively.
A slapping body kick lands there for Devron.
Brandon Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruz looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Devron seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Nice uppercut lands for Devron. That snapped Cruz's head back.
Cruz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Devron will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Cruz counters with a series of strikes. Devron will be more careful next time no doubt.

Cruz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Devron.
Devron really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A head kick from Cruz lands but Devron takes it in his stride.
Devron pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Devron's corner calls for a 1-2. Devron obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Cruz connects with a leg kick. Devron looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Cruz takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Both fighters circling a little - Cruz finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Devron lands a nice hook to Cruz's body. Cruz takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Cruz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Devron moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Devron throws a quick counter kick to the body but Cruz avoids it.
Cruz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Devron catches Cruz napping and cracks him with a perfect head kick! Cruz goes down! He's bigtime hurt! He's not going to make it back to his feet - the referee has called it off! This one is all over!
