Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cyrus Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Shaw shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Shaw was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Potter is trying to control Shaw's posture but Shaw avoids it.

Shaw stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Shaw shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Shaw showed some decent athleticism there.
Shaw wants to stand up but Potter manages to regain full guard.

Potter is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Shaw is aware though and is defending well.

Potter takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Shaw drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Shaw rushes Potter and presses him up against the cage.

Shaw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Shaw drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Potter has his foot on Shaw's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shaw works his way back into a safe position though.
Shaw really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Potter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shaw darts in and clinches Potter up against the cage.

Shaw shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Potter's guard.

Shaw gets to his feet - Potter follows without any prompting.

Shaw closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Potter to the mat! Potter manages to get full guard.

Shaw breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shaw moves out of range as Potter strikes.
Potter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Potter seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Potter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Potter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well Shaw has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
