The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rahman moves away from the strike by Newton.
Rahman dodges the punch combination from Newton.
Rahman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Newton.
Rahman throwing a counter right hand but Newton manages to avoid it.
Newton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Newton loads up on a big right hand but Rahman slips the punch.
Newton has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Cam Newton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rahman moves forwards but Newton connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Rahman throws a body kick that misses.

Rahman lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Newton at a distance.
Newton connects with a combination that backs up Rahman into the cage. Newton lands a flurry of punches that gets past Rahman's guard. Rahman is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Newton bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

A very excited looking Cam Newton rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
The defeated Mujibur Rahman had this to say: 'Nekst time mi cut you, cut you baaad!'.
