Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
30 - 83 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mountain Rivera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bomb Bombs!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera misses with a takedown
and Bombs counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Bombs lands with a shot to the body.
Rivera closes the distance and clinches up with Bombs, looking for a takedown. Rivera pushes Bombs against the cage but Bombs circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bombs has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bombs scores with a nice strike.
Mountain Rivera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bombs misses with a head kick.
Rivera tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bombs sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rivera somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mountain Rivera. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Bombs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rivera shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bombs as he avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bombs scores with a head kick.
It looks like Mountain Rivera has been cut.
Bombs stuffs the takedown attempt from Rivera. Rivera gets slowly back to his feet.
Bombs lands with a cross.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A punch lands to the side of Rivera 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Bombs has managed to clinch.
Bombs has Rivera pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Rivera is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Bombs - that's hurt Rivera badly! Oh, another knee lands and Rivera is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Rivera doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Bomb Bombs!
