Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Weldon Carrillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fim Vrinzwal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Weldon Carrillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fim Vrinzwal!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vrinzwal rushes Carrillo and presses him up against the cage.
Vrinzwal prevents a takedown attempt there.
The referee calls for Vrinzwal to work.
Carrillo is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Vrinzwal is defending well.

Carrillo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Vrinzwal darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Vrinzwal performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Vrinzwal is working for a submission of some sort.
Vrinzwal wants to stand but Carrillo has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Nice strikes from Vrinzwal there.
Vrinzwal stalling away here and it's allowed Carrillo to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Carrillo pulls Vrinzwal in close to his closed guard and prevents Vrinzwal from doing any damage or advancing position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vrinzwal wants to pass the guard but Carrillo is keeping the position.
Vrinzwal has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Carrillo is proving hard to escape from.

Carrillo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vrinzwal defends well.
Vrinzwal won't allow Carrillo to get back to his feet.

Carrillo is pulling down on Vrinzwal's head to control his posture.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Carrillo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vrinzwal to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Carrillo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vrinzwal is controlling him.

Vrinzwal seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fim Vrinzwal dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



A momentary lapse in concentration from Carrillo enables Vrinzwal to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Carrillo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Carrillo manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Vrinzwal looks to land a combination but Carrillo avoids it well.
Carrillo looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Carrillo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Vrinzwal darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Well, if Vrinzwal is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Fim Vrinzwal has got the better of the ground game so far.

Carrillo tries to roll over but Vrinzwal keeps him under control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Carrillo tries to kick Vrinzwal off but Vrinzwal keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Vrinzwal closes the distance and pushes Carrillo back into the cage.
Carrillo tries for a takedown but Vrinzwal manages to get underhooks.
Carrillo can't get the takedown.
Carrillo wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Weldon Carrillo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Carrillo gets control of Vrinzwal's arms and successfully pulls guard. Carrillo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vrinzwal looking to sit in guard and control but Carrillo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Carrillo stops Vrinzwal from standing up.
Carrillo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Vrinzwal manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carrillo manages to get himself to full guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Fim Vrinzwal will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Carrillo is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Vrinzwal sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Carrillo defending well though.

Vrinzwal has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Vrinzwal wants to take a breather but Carrillo is having none of it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Vrinzwal feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Carrillo looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Vrinzwal passes into side control.
Carrillo wants to get back to his feet but Vrinzwal drags him back down.

Vrinzwal remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vrinzwal in side control lands a decent elbow.
Vrinzwal postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Vrinzwal tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vrinzwal has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Vrinzwal decides to stand back up. Vrinzwal steps back and let's Carrillo get back to his feet.

Carrillo is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Vrinzwal presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Vrinzwal manages to break the clinch.

Vrinzwal closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Carrillo quickly recovers to half guard.
Fim Vrinzwal is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Fim Vrinzwal comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Vrinzwal has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
