Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kraig Macias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudolf Kleinschmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Kraig Macias!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rudolf Kleinschmidt!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Macias has managed to clinch.

Kleinschmidt has Macias pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kleinschmidt pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Macias tumbling to the mat - Kleinschmidt dives into Macias's guard.
Kleinschmidt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Macias swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kleinschmidt throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Macias works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Macias is pulling down on Kleinschmidt's head. It's preventing any offense from Kleinschmidt, at least for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kleinschmidt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Macias swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Macias pulls Kleinschmidt in to control the position.

Macias controls Kleinschmidt momentarily but Kleinschmidt frees himself.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A bone on bone clash there as Kleinschmidt blocks the leg kick.

Kleinschmidt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Macias sprawls well initially but Kleinschmidt persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kleinschmidt is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Still in half guard, Kleinschmidt seems content to control.
Macias keeping control of the position.
Kleinschmidt wants to control but Macias is keeping him busy.

Macias knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kleinschmidt on the ground.

Kleinschmidt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Macias is just riding it out for now. Kleinschmidt eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kleinschmidt is looking to take a break and control but Macias is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macias is trying to control but can't.
Kleinschmidt throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kleinschmidt thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kleinschmidt is looking to take a break and control but Macias is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Macias drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rudolf Kleinschmidt dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Kleinschmidt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Macias's guard.
Kleinschmidt wants to pass the guard but Macias is keeping the position.

Macias really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kleinschmidt is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Macias is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Kleinschmidt has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Macias is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kleinschmidt yanks on the arm and Macias is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kleinschmidt.
