The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes throws a half hearted mid kick.
Barnes just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromTalley.
Talley has a takedown stuffed.
Barnes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Talley manages to avoid it.
Talley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Barnes cracks Talley with a good jab.
Talley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Barnes lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Jon Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barnes throws a right and a left that Talley avoids nicely.
Talley throws a combination that misses
and Barnes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barnes keeps the fight on the outside.

Barnes clinches up with Talley and pushes him back against the cage.
Barnes lands an elbow just above Talley 's eye.

It looks like Nick Talley has been cut.
Talley tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Talley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Talley takes an elbow to the forehead.

Barnes gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Oh Talley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Talley is trying to maintain the position but Barnes is very close to passing his half guard.
Barnes lands a big elbow - Talley is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Barnes!
