Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arnulfo King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osvaldo Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown has chosen Satu Dalam Papua as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Skip Squint and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with King, pushing him back against the cage.
King is trying to pull guard but Brown turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Brown avoiding damage.
King wants a takedown.

Brown breaks the clinch.

Brown shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Brown scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Brown is trying to control the action in half guard but King is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brown tries to pass to full mount but King defends it.
King is pressing down on Brown's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
King lands a good elbow from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brown working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Brown postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
King scores with a short punch from the bottom.
King throws a nice elbow from the bottom.
King has momentary wrist control but Brown slips an elbow through the middle.
King will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

King bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brown's guard.

King postures up and lands a big shot to Brown's brow.
King slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

King gets to his feet. Brown looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Brown shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. King is trying to defend but Brown finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King makes his way to full guard. A much better position for King.

King lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

King decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
King fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brown avoids it really well and circles away.
Brown is looking for the big counter here.

Brown fails with an attempt to clinch.
Brown throws a right hand that King ducks under and follows up with a left that King also avoids with ease.
King shoots in for a takedown but Brown shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Brown throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up but King swats him away and circles back towards the center.

King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brown sprawls well. Brown wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. King gets slowly back to his feet.
Brown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but King moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

As Brown looks to move away, King throws a big counter combo but Brown just gets out of the way.
King shoots in looking for a takedown. Brown tries to sprawl out of it but King keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brown manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Brown wants to stand up but King is controlling him.

King stands up from Brown's guard - King perhaps looking for a knockout.
King fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brown avoids it really well and circles away.
Brown was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
King doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brown manages to get an easy takedown there - catching King on his heels. He'll look to pass King's guard now, I'm sure.

King throwing short punches from the bottom.
Brown wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
Brown is breathing heavily.
King keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom.
Brown won't allow King to sweep him here.
Brown wants to stand and escape but instead King has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Brown is working an open guard so King takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
King walks into a left hand.
Arnulfo King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Brown tries to clinch up.
Brown looks to land a combination but King avoids it well.
Brown throws a right hand that King ducks under and follows up with a left that King also avoids with ease.
King tries to counter by clinching up but Brown breaks away and moves out of range.

and King counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by King.
Brown has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

King has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brown is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Brown is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Brown lands an elbow inside that King shrugs off.

Brown wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but King has him pressed against the cage.

King gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Brown regains guard.

King stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Brown lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
King dodges the punch combination from Brown.

King feints and as Brown raises his hands in defense, King changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Brown manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

King turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and King manages to end up in side control.

King decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Brown throws a one two combo.

King shoots in and drives through. Brown sprawls well.
Brown throws a series of punches but King moves out of range.
King dives in and grabs Brown's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brown pushes down on King's head and hops out.
Brown swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

King manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Brown on his heels. He'll look to pass Brown's guard now, I'm sure.
King is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
King postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

King gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

King throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brown tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. King is in Brown's guard.

Brown uses the cage to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Osvaldo Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Brown tries to close the distance and clinch but King swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It looked like King wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
King tries for a takedown but Brown sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and King counters with a three punch combo that has Brown backing up. Brown nods at King to acknowledge the strikes.

King really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
King chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brown can pounce on him.

Brown throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Osvaldo Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

King closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Brown quickly recovers to half guard.
Brown won't allow King to pass to mount.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

King is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brown to keep the fight standing.

Brown breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Osvaldo Brown is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Brown fakes high and swings low for a body shot but King manages to avoid it.
Arnulfo King has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
King is looking to slow Brown down with leg kicks.

And that's the end of the fight!
Osvaldo Brown comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Brown has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
