Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and No Hope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dexter Lopez is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, No Hope!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Ron Honeybunn and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Hope shoots in looking for a takedown but Lopez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hope's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hope darts in looking for a takedown but Lopez gets double underhooks and turns Hope into the cage.
Lopez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hope circles away quickly and effectively.
Hope shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lopez as he jumps to the side.
Dexter Lopez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of No Hope.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hope shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lopez defends it nicely.

Hope tries for a takedown but Lopez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lopez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Hope fails with a takedown attempt.
Lopez swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Lopez misses with the combination.
Hope shoots in for a double leg but Lopez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lopez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hope drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Lopez defends it well.

Hope changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lopez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hope looking to control but instead Lopez has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

Lopez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hope pulls his head out easily.

Hope is taking a breather. Lopez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Lopez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hope blocks the strikes from Lopez.

Lopez slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Hope trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Lopez working for a triangle but Hope defends it easily.
Hope not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Lopez is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hope has his hands clasped together but Lopez extends and breaks Hope's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Lopez.
