Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Krystian Cierpka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kesuke Miyagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miyagi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Your'e The Best Around kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Kesuke Miyagi enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Krystian Cierpka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 58 - 14 - 4, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kesuke Miyagi!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyagi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cierpka feinted with a counter takedown.

Miyagi breaks from the clinch.
Cierpka blocks the body kick.
Cierpka fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Miyagi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Miyagi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cierpka has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Miyagi misses with a leg kick
and Cierpka counters with a lovely shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cierpka fires out a quick counter leg kick but Miyagi just manages to avoid it.

and Cierpka counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Cierpka on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Miyagi. Miyagi obviously looking to wear him down.
Miyagi tries a low kick but Cierpka avoids it.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Miyagi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cierpka has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cierpka and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Cierpka connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Miyagi's hands.
Cierpka steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Miyagi. That one must have hurt.

and Cierpka counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Miyagi has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Cierpka has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
I was talking to Cierpka's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Cierpka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Miyagi fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Cierpka checks it well.

Cierpka connects with a leg kick. Miyagi looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kesuke Miyagi will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

That kick from Miyagi tenderised Cierpka's leg. Cierpka is trying to keep his angry face on.
