Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brooks Sumner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jerry Smith!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sumner sprawls well. Sumner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sumner.
Sumner tries to clinch there but Smith circles away.
Nice uppercut there from Sumner.
Sumner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Smith takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Sumner displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Smith throws out the jab.
Sumner missing with a left hand there. Smith was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sumner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Sumner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Smith is sitting in close to Sumner's body. Sumner has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Smith is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Smith is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Sumner.
