The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cloud misses with a body kick.

Talley pulls guard.
Talley throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Talley is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Cloud feints and as Talley raises his hands in defense, Cloud changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Talley pushes Cloud off and scrambles back to his feet.
Talley swings for the body but Cloud moves out of range.

and Cloud makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Talley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Despite the aggression on Cloud's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cloud fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Talley avoids it really well and circles away.

Talley fails with the takedown.
Cloud tries to score a power double leg takedown but Talley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cloud somewhat.

Talley has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cloud uses from the top position.

Cloud darts in looking for a takedown but Talley gets double underhooks and turns Cloud into the cage.
Nick Talley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Death Cloud.

Cloud closes the distance and clinches up with Talley, looking for a takedown. Cloud pushes Talley against the cage but Talley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Talley is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
