PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pete Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukasz Lucznik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flynn's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Landlord's Walk. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Flynn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lukasz Lucznik!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucznik scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Lucznik throws a chopping leg kick but Flynn manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Flynn steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lucznik. That one must have hurt.
Lucznik throws a combination that misses

and Flynn counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Flynn.
Flynn has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lucznik after a bit of a struggle.
Flynn wants a takedown.

Lucznik pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Flynn moves into range and clinches up with Lucznik.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lucznik breaks the clinch.
Flynn goes for a double leg but Lucznik avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lucznik continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pete Flynn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Flynn takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Lucznik gets caught flat footed, as Flynn shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lucznik wants to get back to his feet but Flynn is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Flynn not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Lucznik wants to stand and escape but Flynn is having none of it.
Lucznik keeping moving, preventing Flynn from controlling successfully.

Lucznik kicks Flynn off and gets to his feet.
Lucznik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lucznik lands an overhand right.
Lucznik connects with a nice looking jab.
Lucznik throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Flynn is looking to clinch but Lucznik is avoiding it.
Lucznik drops Flynn with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Flynn! Lucznik dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
