Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huia swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Freeman looks to score with a jab to the body but Huia is just out of range.
Huia throws a series of punches but Freeman avoids them all with ease.
Freeman throws out a counter right but Huia avoids it with no problem.
Huia ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Huia looks to land a combination but Freeman avoids it well.
Freeman wants to counter with a clinch but Huia pushes him away.

Huia gets a takedown into half guard.
Huia prevents Freeman from improving his position.

Huia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Freeman is just riding it out for now. Huia eventually gives up the hold.

Huia seems to be working for a kimura but Freeman defends the submission attempt.
Huia wants to free his trapped foot but Freeman is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Freeman is refusing to be controlled, as Huia sits in half guard.
Huia stops Freeman from getting back to his feet.

Huia looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Huia moves into full mount! Freeman won't be happy about that!
Huia looking to control but Freeman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Huia definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Huia goes for an armbar but Freeman turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Freeman.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Freeman postures up in Huia's guard and throws a big left but Huia blocks it.

Huia looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Freeman has picked Huia up and slammed him! Huia can't keep hold of the triangle and Freeman manages to pass to side control!

Huia tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Freeman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Freeman fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Huia is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Huia misses with a looping left.

Huia is rocked!
Huia gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Freeman gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Huia is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

After winning the bout, Gavin Freeman thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
