And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaze misses with a combination

and Mercado counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Blaze manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Mercado moves into the clinch.
Mercado is looking to break free of the clinch but Blaze has double underhooks.
Knees to the body from Blaze.
Blaze putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Mercado in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Mercado drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Blaze unloads a knee to the mid-section. Mercado lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Mercado is breathing heavily.
Blaze lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Blaze works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Mercado drops down looking for an ankle pick but Blaze pulls his leg out and moves away.

Blaze lands a left and a right that send Mercado crashing to the mat, dazed. Blaze thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Mercado is rocked!

It looks like Tomas Mercado has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mercado loses concentration momentarily and Blaze pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Mercado crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Blaze finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
