Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Salvatore Cole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Big Sean!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sean misses with a double jab

and Cole counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cole.

Sean gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Cole scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Sean is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cole's half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sean is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Cole won't allow Sean to pass to mount.
Sean content to control rather than advance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cole is looking to control Sean's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cole avoid being mounted?
Cole really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sean wants to work for an arm triangle but Cole is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sean has eaten all the pies!
Sean trying to control the pace.
Sean tries to pass to full mount but Cole defends it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sean with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sean closes the distance and clinches.
Cole tries for a takedown but Sean manages to get underhooks.

Sean pulls guard successfully.

Sean looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cole is looking to stand up but Sean won't let him.
Sean has his hands on Cole's head, controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sean had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cole defends it easily.
Cole wants to stand and escape but instead Sean has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sean showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Sean stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cole swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sean wants to stand but Cole is controlling his posture from full guard.
Cole managing to control the position.
Cole has a closed guard, preventing Sean from standing up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Big Sean dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


The fight stays on the outside here - Cole looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sean is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cole's half guard.
Sean lands with a punch from half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cole flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Sean frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sean thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Sean punishing his opponent with strikes.


Cole is rocked!
Cole tries to hold on but Sean postures up.
Oh Cole is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sean is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Cole is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Big Sean!
