Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Krum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartek Pietrzak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krum's entrance music is Explosive by Bond. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Viktor Krum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 45 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bartek Pietrzak!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krum tries to land a front kick but Pietrzak steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Krum throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Krum misses the target.
Pietrzak fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Pietrzak slips under a jab.
Good standup being displayed there by Pietrzak as he connects with a hook.
Pietrzak throws a jab when Krum was well out of range.
Pietrzak throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Pietrzak keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Krum's head.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pietrzak accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pietrzak is working Krum over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Pietrzak counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Krum scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Pietrzak manages to mount him!
Pietrzak is in the full mount, landing strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Krum sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bartek Pietrzak dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Krum scores with a crisp jab that stopped Pietrzak in his tracks.
Pietrzak throws a half hearted mid kick.
Krum with a nice cross.
Krum is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Pietrzak lands with a left to the head.
Pietrzak tries a body shot but Krum blocks it.

Pietrzak has hold of one of Krum's legs. Krum is fighting the takedown attempt but Pietrzak gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

As Pietrzak backs away, Krum returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Donk. Pietrzak catches Krum right on the button with a cross.

Some bone on bone action there as Krum checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Krum throws a big counter combination but Pietrzak scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Nice straight punches there by Krum. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Krum.
Krum's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pietrzak connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Krum scrambles back to his feet.

Krum closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Viktor Krum will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Krum cracks Pietrzak with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pietrzak throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Krum thuds his right hand into Pietrzak's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pietrzak cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Krum is bucking up trying to escape but Pietrzak cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bartek Pietrzak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pietrzak has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
