Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tad Cash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giriraj Maldoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giriraj Maldoz has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tad Cash's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Giriraj Maldoz!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maldoz throws a body punch but Cash moves out of range.

Cash closes the distance and pushes Maldoz back into the cage.
Cash lands a body shot in the clinch.
Cash lands a right hand.
Maldoz is trying to maintain a safe position but Cash gets an underhook and turns Maldoz into the cage.

Cash has picked Maldoz up - he's going for a ride! Cash dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Cash seems to be working for a kimura but Maldoz defends the submission attempt.
Cash not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Cash could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maldoz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cash is trying to defend but Maldoz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Maldoz wants to take a breather but Cash is having none of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Tad Cash will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Maldoz has managed to clinch.
Cash stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Cash tries to pull guard but Maldoz won't allow it.

Cash pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Let's hope that Maldoz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cash might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Maldoz is looking to take a break and control but Cash is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

and Cash decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Maldoz's guard.

Cash in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Cash makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Maldoz is on top in guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Giriraj Maldoz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Maldoz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cash.

Cash fails with the takedown.

Cash drives through and clinches with Maldoz against the cage.

Cash gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Maldoz has hold of Cash's hands but Cash slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Maldoz is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cash's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cash's back!
Cash is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Maldoz.

You can see the frustration on Cash's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Cash is taking damage to the body and head.
Maldoz keeps control of the position easily here as Cash tries to buck him off.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Cash is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Maldoz gets his way!

Giriraj Maldoz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Maldoz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
