Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Diego Batard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gary Callaway!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batard showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Callaway.
No joy there for Callaway, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
As Callaway tries to get set, Batard tries to push him back and clinch up but Callaway manages to avoid the attempt.
Callaway has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Batard is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Callaway tries to close the distance and clinch up but Batard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Diego Batard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Batard looks to land a combination but Callaway avoids it well.
Batard throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Batard throws a head kick that Callaway semi-blocks.
Callaway misses with a two punch combination.

Callaway is trying to push Batard away but Batard has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Batard throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Callaway blocks it with crossed arms.

Callaway chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Batard can pounce on him.

letting Callaway counter with a right hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Diego Batard.
I think Callaway has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
