Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Garret Morse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Trenchard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morse closes this distance looking for a takedown but Trenchard circles away.
Morse shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Trenchard looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Morse takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Trenchard scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Garret Morse has been cut.
Trenchard throws a nice looking combination but Morse bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Trenchard tries a head kick but it misses.
Morse is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Trenchard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morse is trying hard to land a takedown here. Trenchard sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
As Morse backs off Trenchard throws a huge counter combo but Morse manages to avoid it all.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Garret Morse. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trenchard lands with a thumping leg kick.

Morse shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Trenchard pinned against the cage. Trenchard gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Trenchard throws a big counter head kick but Morse avoids it with no problem.

Trenchard lands a big head kick that sends Morse tumbling to the mat! Trenchard takes a step backwards and waves Morse back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Morse is rocked!

Trenchard Throws a clean left jab. Trenchard Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Morse's chin! Morse crumbles to the ground and Trenchard follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Trenchard!
