Nelson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Never Can Say Goodbye. Roy Nelson had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corona lands a nice hook to Nelson's body. Nelson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Nelson is breathing heavily.
Corona stuffs the takedown.
Nelson shoots for a takedown but Corona saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Horrible takedown by Corona or perhaps it was just good defense by Nelson which made him look bad.

A lazy left from Corona finds it's target.
Corona connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Corona shoots in looking for a takedown. Nelson tries to sprawl out of it but Corona keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nelson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Corona shoots in for a double leg but Nelson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Nelson feints and as Corona raises his hands in defense, Nelson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Nelson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nelson lands in his opponent's guard.

Corona escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nelson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Corona shoots and misses

and Nelson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Corona's guard now.
Nelson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Corona looks like he's trying to stand up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nelson in particular looking to stall.
Nelson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Corona keeps working.

Corona feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Corona is fighting to break Nelson's control of his arms but Nelson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Nelson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Corona escapes and throws Nelson's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Nelson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Nelson manages to get to full guard.
Corona trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Nelson pulls Corona in to control the position.
Corona tries to free his leg and advance position but Nelson is retaining full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Roy Nelson showed his dominance in that final round.
