Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and loyta machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Head comes to the cage accompanied by Don't sweat the technique. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Richard Head!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, loyta machida!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
machida shoots in and drives through. Head sprawls well.
Head closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Head is trying to get an arm triangle but machida is defending well.
machida throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Head lands a nice forearm strike.
machida misses with a strike from the bottom.
machida is looking to regain half guard here but Head keeps moving and retains side control.
Head tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Head has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
machida tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Head wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Head cracks machida with a big elbow.
machida throws a couple of elbows from the bottom.
machida is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Head asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Head is putting a hurting on machida here, landing some big shots from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Head wants to lay and pray for a moment but machida keeps working.
machida tries to bench press Head off him but Head keeps the position.
Head has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Head takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
machida shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Head counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
machida connecting with a few gentle strikes.
machida looks gassed!
machida is in trouble now - Head has advanced to mount!
Head controlling the position easily from mount.
machida is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Head controlling from mount.
machida throwing hammer fists to the chest of Head. What's that going to do exactly?
That's two minutes gone in the round.
machida can't escape the position.
Head takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Head working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. machida turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Head off and cradles machida's limp body as Head celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Richard Head!
