Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Berger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bricks Thrower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Berger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bricks Thrower!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thrower doesn't manage to clinch there - Berger circles away.
Berger really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Thrower stalks Berger and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Berger's face. Berger staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Mark Berger has been cut.

Thrower shoots in and gets a takedown into Berger's guard.


Berger is rocked!
Thrower is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Oh Berger is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thrower loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Berger seems to have got his legs back now.
Berger is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Thrower dives into side control.

Berger pushes Thrower away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Thrower gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Berger counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Berger tries to buck Thrower off but Thrower is having none of it.
Thrower wants to lay and pray for a moment but Berger keeps working.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Berger is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Thrower is controlling him well.
Thrower throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

Thrower decides to stand back up. Thrower steps back and let's Berger get back to his feet.
Thrower swings for the body but Berger moves out of range.
Thrower throws a lazy body kick
and Berger counters with a good low kick that Thrower was not able to check.

and Berger counters with an outside leg kick.
Berger moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Berger tries to clinch up.
Thrower only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Thrower fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Berger to the ground. Thrower is now in Berger's guard.

Berger has his feet on Thrower's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Thrower drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Thrower accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Berger wants to stand up but Thrower is controlling him.
Thrower trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Thrower loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Berger will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Thrower shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Thrower throws a strike but Berger rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Berger bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Thrower tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Thrower keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Berger sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Berger moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Thrower has worked his arm free - good work by Thrower!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Thrower keeps control of the position for the meantime.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Berger will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Sloppy strikes from Thrower. Those never looked like landing.
Berger appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Thrower misses with a few strikes there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Berger scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Thrower takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
A nice right hand lands inside from Berger.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Berger is trying to trip Thrower. He has hold of a leg but Thrower is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Berger persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Thrower utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Thrower avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Berger postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Berger throws a big elbow that misses.
Thrower is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Thrower preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Berger throws an elbow that misses. Thrower uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Berger's guard. Nice move by Thrower!


Berger kicks Thrower off and gets to his feet.

Berger closes the distance and pushes Thrower back into the cage.
Berger tries to score a body lock takedown but Thrower shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Come on Berger - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Thrower wants to break the clinch but can't.
Berger lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Berger has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Thrower clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Thrower manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thrower checks the leg kick nicely there.

Thrower misses with the combination.
Thrower displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Berger scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Thrower walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Berger checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Thrower misses with a wild combination.
Berger tries to move into range but Thrower moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Berger gets caught napping as Thrower dives in and scores a takedown. Berger manages to retain guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Thrower postures up.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Berger manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thrower tries to break the clinch but Berger is controlling the position.

Thrower gets control of Berger's arms and successfully pulls guard. Thrower will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Berger working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Thrower's head.
Berger throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Thrower works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Thrower is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Berger is controlling him.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Bricks Thrower.
I think Thrower has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
