Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleksandr Usyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Oleksandr Usyk was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Usyk takes one on the button.
A shot to the liver by Usyk. Beautiful body shot.
Palmer rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Usyk counters with a left and a right that hurts Palmer! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Usyk jumps into full mount!
Usyk trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Palmer wants to hold on but Usyk pushes him away.
Usyk content just to control the position here.

Usyk gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Palmer thuds his right hand into Usyk's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Usyk looks to throw the jab but Palmer is out of range.
Usyk throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Usyk throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Palmer sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Palmer scores with a nice right hand.
Usyk takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

It looks like Roy Palmer has been cut.
Palmer throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Oleksandr Usyk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Usyk tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

A little feinted left hand from Palmer on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Palmer catches Usyk with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Palmer is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Usyk flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Usyk is out cold! Palmer holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
