PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Travis Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bk Returns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Returns has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Bk Returns will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Returns gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Returns looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Returns has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hawk is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Hawk dives in and scores a takedown into Returns's guard.

Hawk has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Returns has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Hawk tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Returns is able to avoid easily.

Hawk shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Returns manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Travis Hawk overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Returns can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hawk controls the pace.
Hawk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Returns swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Returns wants to stand and escape but Hawk is having none of it.
