Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ellis Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Machado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ellis Stone!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machado gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Machado looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Stone avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Machado tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Stone wants to control from the top but Machado keeps moving.

Machado working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Machado is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Stone wanted to stand there but Machado had control of the position.

Stone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Machado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Machado can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stone controls the pace.

Stone throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stone has a takedown stuffed.

Stone is keen to just control but Machado is a slippery customer.

Machado is refusing to be controlled, as Stone sits in half guard.
Stone takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

A close round but Ellis Stone will probably get the nod.

Stone throws a nice looking combination but Machado bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Machado bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stone's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Machado is trying to get an arm triangle but Stone is defending well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Stone can't do much from the bottom here.

Ellis Stone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Stone throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Machado shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Stone counters by clinching up.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Stone.
Stone's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Machado takes a shot to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Machado drops back, looking for a kneebar! Stone looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Stone looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Stone!

Ellis Stone is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Stone's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Ellis Stone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stone has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
