Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Micah Hays (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonqw Fray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Micah Hays!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonqw Fray!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fray looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hays is fending him off so far but Fray persists. Nope, Hays circles away and we're back to standing.
Hays wants to clinch.
Micah Hays seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hays tries to clinch up but Fray circles away and keeps his distance.
Hays lands a slapping body shot.
Fray misses with a straight left.
Hays tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Fray manages to circle out of the way.
Hays goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


It looks like Jonqw Fray has been cut.
Hays throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
A jab from Fray misses.
Fray lands a nice shot to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hays enables Fray to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hays manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Fray drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hays manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fray has Hays in his guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hays slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Fray throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hays is looking to stand up but Fray won't let him.

Fray looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hays has picked Fray up and slammed him! Fray can't keep hold of the triangle and Hays manages to pass to side control!
Fray is looking for a sweep.
Hays working the strikes but Fray uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Fray wants to control but Hays is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Fray is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hays pulls his head out easily.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hays throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Fray is looking for a sweep. Hays is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fray is staying active underneath Hays, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Fray is looking to control Hays's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fray avoid being mounted?
Hays looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hays has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Hays breaks from Fray's wrist control and lands an elbow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fray is looking to get to half guard.
Hays putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Hays trying to control but Fray is having none of it.
Fray slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Fray is looking to improve his position.

Hays scoring with strikes to the body and head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hays throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Fray is controlling Hays's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Fray looking for submissions off his back.
Fray tries to roll over but Hays keeps him under control.
Hays slips a nice elbow through Fray's hands, connecting with Fray's forehead.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fray taking some punishment here, with Hays in his half guard.
Hays wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fray keeps working.
Hays is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fray is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Jonqw Fray's cut.
That's time! Hays's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Fray misses with a hook.
The fighters circling - Hays throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hays wants to clinch.
Fray takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Fray fails with the takedown.
Hays thuds his right hand into Fray's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.


That has opened up Jonqw Fray's cut even more.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hays misses with a two punch combination.
Hays takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nice cross by Hays.
Hays lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fray at a distance.
Hays throws a head kick but Fray moves out of range.
Micah Hays is winning the standup battle so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hays lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


Fray is rocked!
Fray bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Fray is still on wobbly legs! Can Hays finish him?
Fray gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hays.
Hays finds Fray's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Fray flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Hays lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Fray will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Micah Hays!
