The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynch scores with a nice head shot.
Whitfield throws a leg kick but Lynch sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Whitfield lands a nice hook to Lynch's body. Lynch takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Whitfield's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Whitfield duly obliges.
Lynch misses with a looping right.
Jab, jab by Whitfield - just one landing.
Lynch uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Whitfield.
Whitfield wants to land a leg kick but Lynch is out of range.
Whitfield throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Lynch stumbling backwards into the cage! Lynch bounces back off the cage towards Whitfield, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Whitfield lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Whitfield celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
