Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leo Heath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pentagon Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leo Heath has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leo Heath!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pentagon Jr!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Heath enables Jr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Heath manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Heath can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jr controls the pace.
Jr trying to control but Heath is working from the bottom.
Heath lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Jr looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Heath passes into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jr struggling a bit here.

Heath blocks the strikes from Jr.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Heath wants to stand up but Jr has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Jr is looking to control Heath's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jr avoid being mounted?

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jr looking for submissions off his back.
Jr is trying to control but can't.
Heath lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Heath moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Jr.
Heath working away.

A control attempt from Jr but he's now mounted!
Jr working to try and regain half guard.
Jr sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Jr is looking to improve his position.
Jr is still trying to improve position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Jr looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jr is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Heath pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Leo Heath will probably get the nod.
That's time! Heath's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Jr looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Jr sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Heath defending well though.
Heath misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Heath regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Jr.
Heath avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Heath swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jr prevents Heath from getting back to his feet.
Heath bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jr's guard.

Jr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jr looking for a guillotine here but Heath defends easily.
Jr not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Jr working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Heath has passed into half guard!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jr makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jr.

Jr isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Heath stacks Jr on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Heath!
Jr can't do much from the bottom here.
Jr is trying to work for a sweep but Heath has mounted him!

Jr wants to hold on but Heath pushes him away.
Jr is trying desperately to improve position.
Jr sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Jr trying to get back to full guard but Heath takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Jr trying to control from the bottom.
Jr tries to get to full guard but Heath has control of the leg.
Jr works his way to full guard. Good work.

Jr looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Heath has picked Jr up and slammed him! Jr can't keep hold of the triangle and Heath manages to pass to side control!

Jr tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leo Heath dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Jr manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Heath on his heels. He'll look to pass Heath's guard now, I'm sure.
Heath wants to improve his position but instead Jr has moved into half guard.
Heath keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Jr blocks the strikes from Heath.

Jr looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jr is trying to work for a kimura but Heath is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jr is looking to stall here but Heath recovers full guard.

Jr is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jr scoring with punches to the head and body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Heath is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Heath working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jr.
Jr wants to control from the top but Heath keeps moving.
Heath looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jr is one step ahead there.
Jr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Jr seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jr throws a strike but Heath rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Jr has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Heath should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Jr has tightened it up now! Heath should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
