Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maxence Laurentian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Duggan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duggan has chosen HOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duggan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Laurentian as he avoids it easily.

Laurentian slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Laurentian misses with a hook. Duggan ducked under it nicely.
Laurentian paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Laurentian slips a straight right by Duggan.
Duggan moves out of range of the strikes.
Duggan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Laurentian throws a looping overhand right but Duggan ducks down to avoid it.

Duggan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Laurentian tries to avoid it but Duggan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Laurentian to the ground. Laurentian escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Maxence Laurentian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Duggan.

Maxence Laurentian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laurentian dips to his left and cracks Duggan with an uppercut!

Laurentian throws the kick towards the body but Duggan avoids it.
Horrible takedown by Duggan or perhaps it was just good defense by Laurentian which made him look bad.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Duggan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Laurentian fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Duggan manages to avoid it.
Laurentian tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Duggan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Duggan closes the distance and clinches up with Laurentian, looking for a takedown. Duggan pushes Laurentian against the cage but Laurentian circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Laurentian tests Duggan's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Duggan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Laurentian looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Laurentian wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Laurentian wants to get back to his feet but Duggan is dominant here and he's now got Laurentian's back!

Duggan working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Laurentian is doing well to defend. Duggan seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Laurentian is forced to tap and this one is over!
