Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ross Kidd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Montoya DeAngelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ross Kidd has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DeAngelo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kidd is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
DeAngelo is stalling in the full guard.
Kidd manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. DeAngelo manages to get himself to full guard.

Kidd lands a couple of digs.
DeAngelo wants to get back to his feet but Kidd is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
DeAngelo stands and steps away. Kidd gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Montoya DeAngelo dominated that round.
That's time! Kidd's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

DeAngelo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than DeAngelo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

DeAngelo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kidd to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kidd shrugs it off.
Kidd bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

DeAngelo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kidd tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. DeAngelo is in Kidd's guard.

Kidd suckers DeAngelo into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Kidd is now in DeAngelo's guard!

That was a close second round but I would say that Ross Kidd will probably get the nod.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

DeAngelo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. DeAngelo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Kidd postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! DeAngelo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kidd, into his guard.

Well DeAngelo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
