Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zachariah Sutton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oger Cobber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zachariah Sutton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oger Cobber!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Francis DeMontford and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Cobber.


Sutton is rocked!


It looks like Zachariah Sutton has been cut.
Cobber turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Oh Sutton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cobber tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Sutton tries to keep at a distance but Cobber has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sutton seems to have got his legs back now.

Sutton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cobber moves to clinch but Sutton breaks away

and Sutton counters with a shoot takedown. Cobber fights it but they end up in guard.
Cobber wants to stand up but Sutton is controlling him.
Sutton wants to get up but he can't break Cobber's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Cobber escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sutton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cobber doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Cobber is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cobber looking to control.
Cobber looking for a sweep. Not yet Cobber, not yet.
Cobber is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Sutton's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Cobber has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sutton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cobber pushes Sutton off and scrambles back to his feet.

Sutton throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Cobber fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sutton has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Sutton drives through and clinches with Cobber against the cage.
Cobber is trying to break the clinch but Sutton is controlling him.

Sutton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sutton thinks about countering with a head kick.
Cobber shoots in and drives through. Sutton sprawls well.
Sutton feinted with a counter takedown.
Cobber shoots for a double leg takedown but Sutton sprawls well. He's pushed Cobber's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cobber shoots in for a takedown but Sutton shows good takedown defense.
Sutton attempts a counter takedown but Cobber avoids it well and moves away.
Zachariah Sutton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oger Cobber.

Cobber looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Sutton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Sutton is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Cobber stands up from Sutton's guard - Cobber perhaps looking for a knockout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cobber is defended easily by Sutton.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cobber closes the distance and clinches up with Sutton, looking for a takedown. Cobber pushes Sutton against the cage but Sutton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Cobber drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Sutton defends it well.

and Sutton counters with a flying knee. Nice.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Zachariah Sutton will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Cobber tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sutton sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cobber somewhat.
Sutton went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Sutton displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cobber.
Oger Cobber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cobber shoots in but no luck this time.
As Cobber looks to move away, Sutton throws a big counter combo but Cobber just gets out of the way.
Zachariah Sutton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oger Cobber.
Cobber will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sutton tries to counter with a takedown but Cobber is quick to defend against it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cobber tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sutton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sutton throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Sutton is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cobber can do to turn this around?

and Sutton counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cobber won't be happy with that.

Sutton decides to stand back up.

Sutton jumps into guard, dragging Cobber to the mat.
Sutton wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Cobber stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sutton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cobber looking to sit in guard and control but Sutton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sutton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cobber on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cobber wants to get back to full guard.
Sutton is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Zachariah Sutton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Cobber is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Cobber tries to roll over but Sutton keeps him under control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Sutton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sutton feints and as Cobber raises his hands in defense, Sutton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sutton decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Cobber wants to control from the top but Sutton keeps moving.

Sutton is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Cobber presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Cobber is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sutton to keep the fight standing.
Sutton has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cobber is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Cobber or perhaps it was just good defense by Sutton, which made it look bad.

Cobber throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Cobber wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sutton keeps working.
Sutton controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

Zachariah Sutton showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Sutton has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
