PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Tubridy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danger Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tubridy's entrance music is Late Late theme tune. A fine choice. Danger Mouse told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryan Tubridy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Danger Mouse!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tubridy scores with a jab to the jaw.

It looks like Danger Mouse has been cut.
Mouse gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Mouse walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Tubridy throws a right and a left that Mouse avoids nicely.
Mouse fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mouse has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Mouse walks into a jab.
Tubridy tries to clinch up.
Mouse only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Tubridy connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Tubridy has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Holding Cell in the buildup to the fight.
Mouse rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tubridy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A little feinted left hand from Tubridy on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Mouse has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mouse there as he acknowledges the shot.

Mouse is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tubridy moves in close and cracks Mouse with a massive right hand! Mouse, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Tubridy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ryan Tubridy!
A very excited looking Ryan Tubridy rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
