The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Myers scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Myers wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bennett, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
What's Bennett going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Myers is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bennett is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Myers goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bennett rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Myers's guard! Nice work there by Bennett!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Myers accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bennett has his foot on Myers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Myers works his way back into a safe position though.

Bennett has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Myers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bennett has control of Myers's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Myers regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Let's hope that Bennett has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Bennett got a little sloppy there for a moment and Myers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bennett has managed to get both his arms back between Myers's legs - danger averted.

Well Bennett has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
